Passive Potential provides independent Passive House certification and technical performance consulting
for high-performance buildings delivered under the Passive House standard.
The company places particular emphasis on commercial and public buildings,
while remaining active in the residential sector. Standard process focuses on a
structured review, early-stage clarification of certification requirements, and helping
project teams through the certification pathway.
Work is undertaken collaboratively with architects, engineers, and Passive House consultants,
with the objective of achieving clear, predictable, and successful certification outcomes.

Passive House Building Certification
Independent Passive House certification delivered through a structured and transparent
review process, supporting design teams in achieving successful and predictable
certification outcomes in accordance with Passive House Institute requirements.
Passive House Design Consulting
Strategic performance guidance and technical coordination integrated within the
design process, supporting alignment with certification requirements from early concept
through to post construction.
Thermal Bridge Analysis
Detailed thermal bridge modelling, including 2D and 3D analysis, to support robust
envelope design, risk reduction, and long-term durability.
Energy Modelling & Simulation
Whole-building energy modelling and performance simulation to inform design strategy
and verify measurable performance outcomes.
Relevant Project Experience
Experience includes residential, commercial and public Passive House buildings
delivered in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, supporting project teams
through the certification pathway.
This includes work undertaken in collaboration with Peel Passive House Consulting LLC on:
- World’s first Passive House certified car dealership (Red Deer, Alberta)
- Canada's first Passive House certified student residence in Kelowna, British Columbia
- Québec's first retrofit project certified to the Passive House Classic standard
- A municipal maintenance yard in York Region, Ontario
- A fire hall in Vancouver, British Columbia
